Vereux Collections is a Lagos-based luxury fashion brand redefining African heritage through modern design. Founded in 2018 by Umeigbo Chinedu Samuel, Vereux exists to preserve, promote, and elevate Nigerian and Pan-African traditions through high-fashion garments that carry cultural significance. Every piece we create is rooted in ancestral memory and made with contemporary craftsmanship—bold, regal, and unapologetically African.

BRAND STORY

Vereux Collections was born out of a deep love for culture and a refusal to let African identity fade amidst globalization. From performing in childhood cultural dance groups to studying couture under some of Nigeria’s top fashion minds, founder Umeigbo Chinedu Samuel transformed his passion into a brand with global resonance.

The name “Vereux,” inspired by the French words vérité (truth) and eux (them), represents the brand’s mission: to tell the true stories of African people through fashion. Today, Vereux is not just a fashion house—it’s a cultural force. It preserves heritage, empowers artisans, and creates wearable art that travels from Lagos to the world.

DESIGNER BIO

Chinedu Samuel Umeigbo is a Nigerian designer from Anambra State with a passion for storytelling through clothing. Rooted in Igbo culture and based in Lagos, he founded Vereux Collections to bridge the past and present through high-end African fashion. Trained at the Lagos Fashion Academy and mentored by legendary names like Deola Sagoe, Umeigbo is known for blending ancestral craft with couture elegance.

His creative philosophy: “Fashion is the loudest whisper of our ancestry.” Through each garment, he helps clients reconnect with their roots while stepping boldly into the global spotlight.
